Welcome to
The North Highland College
The North Highland College aims to serve the communities of the north through our campuses in Thurso, Wick, Alness, and Dornoch. In addition, we offer flexible outreach training and education opportunities in community learning centres across the area.
Many of our courses reflect the distinctive needs and strengths of the area, including equestrian studies, gamekeeping, nuclear sciences, veterinary nursing, acting and performance, and Scotland's first golf management degree.
In addition to traditional classroom based teaching we also offer a growing number of online and open learning courses for flexible study. Our reputation for developing and deploying these courses is spreading far and wide, and we now have students enrolled nationally.

The UHI Millenium Institute
The North Highland College is a partner of UHI Millenium Institute - the future University Of The Highlands And Islands.
UHI is a unique partnership of fifteen colleges and research institutions across the Highlands and Islands. Each college and research institution has its own distinctive character and strengths. This means that students of UHI can share in the educational advantages of a larger institution whilst benefiting from the personal attention which a smaller college, like The North Highland College, can provide.
UHI's mission is to play a pivotal role in the educational, economic, social and cultural development of the region through the establishment of a University of the Highlands and Islands.
