    Course description

    Who can join?

    Holders of CELTA or an equivalent qualification, and/or be working with adult ESOL literacies learners in Scotland.   You must be able to attend the three residentials held in a central location (possibly Inverness).

    How do I attend?

    The course is available online. There will be three two-day residentials in a central location (possibly Inverness). As these dates change from academic session to academic session, contact Fiona Whiteford on 01847 889379, email fiona.whiteford@thurso.uhi.ac.uk.

    What will I study?

    The course gives an overview of adult literacies in Scotland with the focus on strategies for teaching, reading, writing and numeracy. The course provides a forum to discuss local and national issues and gain important insights to use in your working context.
