Due to popular demand we offer 16 week National Qualification Units in Psychology. The starting point, for those who have no previous knowledge of the subject is initially at Intermediate 1 level, aimed at students seeking an introduction to psychology.
Depending on demand, other units at Intermediate 2 level in Psychology are also offered on a regular basis, which could provide entry to the Higher Psychology course and/or other training and employment.
To achieve the award, students studying these Units will be required to undertake a short 30 minute closed-book assessment at Intermediate 1 level, or a two-hour exam at Intermediate 2 level. Information on the units available is given as a separate entry under the unit title.
Units available include:
The individual in the social context
Investigating Behaviour
Understanding the Individual
The units are available for study as part of our evening class schedule. The current edition of the evening class brochure is available to download from the Resources area of the website, or can be requested from Admissions on 01847 889250, email info@northhighland.ac.uk.
You may not have to pay any fees for these units if you qualify for a fee waiver, for instance if you are eligible for certain benefits. See the college's Fee Waiver Policy in the resources area of the website.
It is possible to use a current Individual Learning Account (ILA200) to pay for these units as you come to study them.
