The North Highland College is an academic partner of the UHI Millennium Institute (UHI); a higher education institution providing university level courses and research opportunities throughout the Highlands and Islands of Scotland (including Moray and Perthshire) and beyond.

This is achieved through a partnership of colleges, research institutions, and an associated learning centre network throughout the region.

The UHI mission is to create a University of the Highlands and Islands by 2008.
