Management and Professional Studies
Based at sites in Thurso, Dornoch, and Alness, North Highland College has established the Management and Professional Studies (MPS) Section. The aim of the section is to provide locally based, cost effective training and education, developed to suit the needs of employers, employees, and other learners through a flexible learning environment. This learning environment is contextualised to meet the unique conditions of organisations within the Highlands.
The section offers a range of accredited qualifications including Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) certificates in team leading and first line management, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Certificate in personnel practice, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) introductory certificate in marketing.
Our team of qualified and experienced staff are able to offer help and advice in all areas of management, and can work with organisations to develop bespoke solutions subsequent to a comprehensive training needs analysis and skill assessment. The team can offer quality bitesize taster courses - help and advice to companies wishing to utilise the new Business Learning Accounts and / or a Business mentoring programme involving forums for sharing experiences with a trusted industrial expert.
